“For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, and as a  garden causes what is sown in it to sprout up, so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to sprout up before all the nations.”  Isaiah 61:11

The beauty of God’s Creation inspires us to create in every season and especially in the Spring when the creation reveals its glory in the flowers, trees and the natural landscape.  We want “Gardens of God” here on earth that reflect the beauty and glory of what He has created to show forth His glory, point us to Him as Creator and to enjoy the work of His creation with our hands.  We plant, we sow, we tend, we gather and we enjoy.  Each year at our Promise Gardens we are inspired to create, share and enjoy more as the gardens grow and mature.  Isn’t it a wonderful thing that God shows us in creation how we too must grow in grace and knowledge of Him and His wonderful creation and give Him the glory for the great things He has done for us and the earth? Yes and Amen!  It is a privilege and blessing to behold, create and enjoy His Creation and in our future to behold the heavenly “Gardens of God” in His presence.  Be inspired to create for it is His gift to you and me.*

HEAR what God, the Lord, hath spoken:
O my people, faint and few,
Comfortless, afflicted, broken,
Fair abodes I build for you.
Thorns of heart-felt tribulation
Shall no more perplex your ways:
You shall name your walls Salvation,
And your gates shall all be Praise.

There, like streams that feed the garden,
Pleasures without end shall flow;
For the Lord, your faith rewarding,
All his bounty shall bestow;
Still in undisturbed possession
Peace and righteousness shall reign;
Never shall you feel oppression,
Hear the voice of war again.

Ye no more your suns descending,
Waning moons no more shall see;
But your griefs, forever ending,
Find eternal noon in me.
God shall rise, and, shining o’er you,
Change to day the gloom of night;
He, the Lord, shall be your glory,
God your everlasting light.
William Cowper
