“Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.” Psalm 61:1
To all of of our readers and friends, we will begin a new study at Theology Girl Group on Monday, October 20th entitled “Women in Prayer” and the importance of prayer in the life of the believer especially today in times of trial and conflict. This study will focus on issues related to women, the home, family and our individual prayer life. God’s Word instructs us to “pray without ceasing” and to “ask” and we will receive. Women have a great opportunity to learn the importance of prayer in their everyday lives and how that through prayer they are changed to the glory of God.
“To know God as the sovereign disposer of all good, inviting us to present our requests, and yet not to approach or ask of Him, were so far from availing us, that it were just as if one told of a treasure were to allow it to remain buried in the ground.”__John Calvin
“To be without prayer is to be without God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the hope and reality of heaven.” Dr. R.C. Sproul
