Remember when we faithfully “Read Through The Bible A Year” as a regular commitment? Most of us still do that but with the new technology, iPod, iPhone and more, we cannot only read through the Bible but hear it as well and not just per year but in a day or week. I love the ability to have the background of my day filled with God’s Word and spiritual devotionals and song. In one day of photography editing, I can hear the Bible in its entirety or Max McLean’s Valley of Vision and be lifted up, encouraged, renewed and humbled by His goodness and grace. As I look at landscapes and edit, I can see the wonders of His creation — the sun, moon, stars, oceans, earth and all that He has created and it makes it even more profound through the hearing of the Word. Even daily chores or cooking or caring for loved ones are a blessing when the Word of God is the fuel for our work. Isn’t our God a wonderful God to give us technology for His purposes and for the gospel to the world? Surely He is!
