The Face of Evil…..

When we take off the rose-colored glasses and look with clear-eyed discernment on our world and its head-long spin into moral decay and twisted religious thinking, we see the face of evil for what it is. Believers have 20-20 vision when it comes to choosing their leaders and are not fooled by polls, video or audio tapes, “fair speeches” or anything or anyone else. Believers have been given good discernment, biblical application and thus they have a Christian world and life view and apply that view to everything in their lives. They see and call evil for what it is - evil. They see the issues and politics clearly so that support of their candidate reflects a biblical and “righteousness” view of the issues. They are “life givers” who deliver from hate, oppression and bondage. They are “truth tellers” and want to share the good news of God’s truth throughout the world that will deliver men, women and children from the oppression and bondage of the evil one. Believers support the man who stands for truth even when it is not popular to do so. Believers weigh the evidence, the record, and the testimony and make their decision to support God’s man based on that criteria, not polls, not pundits, not hype nor anything else. We are blessed people — we know the truth. Those that are blinded and have on rose-colored glasses are only fooling themselves and falling into the trap of the evil one to believe the lie. The issues facing us are clear. President Bush is the man God has chosen to lead us in this fight against evil. He is the man whose good discernment is a gift from the Lord for our blessing and benefit. He is the man that will stand against terrorism, tyranny, oppression, evil and death. He is the “life giver” of God’s choosing to bring peace, stability and hope to a people oppressed by cruel dictators and twisted religious systems. He is the courageous “Joshua” who is of “good courage” and will lead us and our nation forward to victory. Stand tall, stand strong and stand with George W. Bush. Pray for him, vote for him and get busy and get out the vote for him on November 2 for the good of our nation and the world.

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:9

Important Letter from Annette in Canada

This is for all the women in the United States who will be voting in the November election.

I am a Canadian. Our government has added sexual orientation as a hate crime up here and it appears that they will soon make same-sex ‘marriages’ legal here as well. In several provinces, marriage commissioners - the equivalent to your “justice of the peace” have been told to perform marriages between same-sex couples and have been told if they refuse, they will either have to quit or be fired. So far, ministers and pastors have been excepted, but we don’t know how long it will last. As for the hate crime law, any opposition to the homosexual lifestyle is considered hate and liable for prosecution. Also there is no protection up here for the uhborn child. Their life can be snuffed out anytime by an abortion. Now what does this mean to you all down there?

Bush will stand up for the rights of the unborn, marriage between husband and wife, he will not put same-sex on the hate crime list. His opponent has made no such promise. If Bush is not elected, Christians, not only in Canada, but also in the States, might be persecuted for their beliefs.

I pray that the United States will not go down the same path as us up here.

Laura Bush Letter & Karl Rove Stats

Crosswalk sent out this letter from Laura Bush yesterday and it is an encouragement for Christians to get up and out to vote this election. In light of Karl Rove’s statement in his interview with Hugh Hewitt on September 1, 2004,* this is REALLY important for us to exercise our God-given right to vote. We make the difference!
Dear Friend,
We’ve watched as President Bush has led this country through the mosthistoric struggle of our generation. We’ve been through a lot togetherthese last four years, but today our economy is growing, we’re closing the achievement gap in our schools, and America is safer and stronger, thanks to the President’s decisive leadership.
In Ohio, I visited with a woman who summed up our success this way. Shesaid, “President Bush was born for such a time as this. He never wavers when it comes to doing the right thing. It makes me feel so secure to know that our leader has such a love for our country.”
This election will be close, so every person who votes will make a realdifference in the outcome. If you need information about your polling place — even a map and directions to vote in your area — go to ourwebsite
At our convention in New York, President Bush outlined his agenda for anew term. Helping families face the challenges of this changing world is at the heart of the President’s plan.

George believes that government should try to help people improve their lives, not try to run them. As President, my husband has met the toughest challenges with courage. He believes that his duty, the responsibility of every leader, is to find solutions to problems, not pass them on to future Presidents and future generations.
These are times of change for our nation, but they’re also years of promise. George and I grew up in West Texas, where the sky seems endless and so do the possibilities. My husband brings that optimism, that sense of purpose, that certainty that a better day is before us to his job every day.
Over the last four years, the American people have come to know the man that I’ve known for 27 years. The American people know that my husband says what he means and does what he says. He keeps his word.
So with just one week left, I want to encourage you to vote, and turnout as many people as you can. Please forward this message to at leastfive people that share your values and encourage them to get their voting location at http://www.GeorgeWBush.com/Vote. Everything you do to help will be a huge asset for the President’s campaign.
May God continue to bless America. Thank you so much.
Laura Bush

*HEWITT: Karl, I don’t know if it’s an urban myth or not, but you were once quoted as having said that “four million of the nation’s eight million evangelical voters did not show up in 2000.” What’s the situation vis-à-vis that vote in this election?
ROVE: This is a pretty interesting observation made to me by a fellow by the name of Ed Goeaz, who is a pollster. Ed looked at the results of the 2000 election…and roughly 15% of the vote came from self-identified Evangelicals, fundamentalists, Charismatics and Pentecostals — when they make up about 19% of the adult population. If you work the numbers, that’s roughly 4 million people who might have been expected to be at the polls if they turned out in the same number that they are of the population. I think that community is far more energized. I think there may have been multiple number of reasons why they didn’t turn out to vote last time around, but I know that they feel that many of them feel very strongly about the leadership of this President on issues of values and are more likely to participate this time than they did last.

David .. A wee lad and a smooth stone…

The children of Belial have their Goliath, i.e., the “money,” “Hollywood stars,” “liberal media” “liberals” “Marxists” “Communists” “Christian-haters” “Conservative-Right haters” “Pro-Life haters” and every other “thing” which is against truth, decency, true religion, the laws and ideals of our Founding Fathers, and anything else that has made our country great. Goliath now wants to be “our leader” and have dominion over us but he has forgotten about David and he has forgotten about God. God raised David up, a wee small lad to take down the giant Goliath. It was not with the power of great armies, or countries, or the masses, or the armour, shields and weapons of a great army, but with a small smooth stone sent from a slingshot of a mere lad. A lad God had chosen to use to accomplish His purpose to slay Goliath and to rout his army of evildoers and fell them to ruin. David’s story is one in which we gain confidence and power to know that God is on His throne, ruling in righteousness and truth and that we have been given the victory in this battle. God has raised up our President, George W. Bush, as His choice to accomplish His purposes for the good of our nation and mankind. He is our “David” — a kind, compassionate, faithful and truthful leader who will lead us to victory for the next four years. Be courageous and “let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid” because “they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”* Pray, “be steadfast, unmovable” and be a good citizen for righteousness and get out the vote. Encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to vote and we will prevail because God is on our side.

And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. II Kings 6:15-17

“Stolen Honor” and Wounds That Do Not Heal

ReformedWomen

In 1968, my brother-in-law James was killed in action in Viet Nam leaving a young wife and 4-month old baby boy. I have watched these dear ones over the years suffer this loss and remember in vivid detail the pain the anti-war protests and those like John Kerry who caused even more suffering to these dear innocent family members. It has been a “wound that does heal” for many and without the power of Christ’s healing mind, body and soul, even the strongest Christian would not be able to bear it day after day, year after year. This morning I occasioned to watch the movie “Stolen Honor” and I was again reminded of what was done against the bravery and sacrifice of loved ones by the likes of Kerry and the evildoers during that time period. It is a film that every American citizen should view and be reminded of the importance to vote to re-elect our President George W. Bush for another four years. Any man who holds the highest office in the land should be without reproach in his safeguards of our democracy and to stand tall as the Commander and Chief of our Armed Forces. President Bush fits this bill, John Kerry does not and if we have our eyes and ears open, we will see clearly and our vote will speak clearly for George W. Bush.

God would not allow the evildoers to stop the showing of this film. It has been made available for free on the internet. You can view it here:

“Producer Carlton Sherwood said “Stolen Honor” would be available on the Internet Monday and would also be available for screening or broadcasting. “I want to be sure that every American who wants to see this film is allowed to do so,” he said in a news release. “Therefore, I am offering the film publicly to anyone who wants to see it.”

Once you see this film, you will be convinced of the importance of your vote and why we must pray for God’s mercy to protect us, our families and country and that God’s people will stand up in righteousness and vote. He is faithful, we must be faithful!

Americans of Faith

Crosswalk, Americans of Faith and other groups have put together an excellent video, eCards and Statement Regarding Biblical Issues in this 2004 election. The statement is an important read and addresses the issues facing us and our biblical responsibility. “In 2000, 4 million fewer evangelicals voted than in previous years. As American Christians, we have the privilege and the responsibility to be involved in our political process. It’s not just a right to vote, it’s a biblical Mandate.”
Take a moment to view their video here: http://www.americansoffaith.org/ The statement of issues can be read here: http://www.crosswalk.com/news/1289744.html
Do it for your Lord, your family, your children and grandchildren. It’s that important.”Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

“REAL JOB”??

What constitutes a “real” job? The millions of stay-at-home moms, busy wives, teachers of children, caregivers of elderly parents, home-based business women, volunteers, working moms and those who do not have “billions” of dollars to live a life of privilege and greed, are considered “less” than the “rich and famous” and not have a “real job”? The recent comment by Heinz-Kerry* about First Lady Laura Bush gives us a full view of her “real” Jezebel-type personality, continued sinful behavior, and most importantly, reveals her “real” opinion of the majority of American women and their roles in the family, home and workplace. This should outrage every woman and especially our stay-at-home mothers. God has given women a mandate and everything that Heinz-Kerry stands for is an affront to that perfect God-ordained role that He has given us.
The lovely Laura Bush is the “real” woman who has and is doing the “real” job. She has been an excellent example to many women. She has served her family, community, and this country well. God has blessed her with many talents and she has exercised good stewardship of them. She has shown the world the love, patience, goodwill and love of family, country and neighbors that should be an example to all of us. The most important aspect of her “real” job is to show her love and support of her husband as his wife and to this I can say, she is most admirable. God has surely raised her up for this time and purpose just as He has her husband. We are blessed people because of them.
How do we respond to this new outrage? Pray for Laura Bush, pray for our President, and pray that women everywhere will rise up, speak out, and cast their vote for the re-election of our President, George W. Bush.

*USA Article re comment: http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/president/2004-10-20-heinz-kerry_x.htm
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, And on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, And does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: “Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.” Proverbs 31:26-29

Ashley’s Story

A definite video ad to see: http://www.ashleysstory.com
When I viewed this video, I was struck by the expression on President Bush’s face as were most who have viewed it. I was reminded of the Scripture, “But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price” 1Pe 3:4 The teaching that we know well, i.e., our true countenance reveals our heart. I think unmistakeably that we can read his thoughts as he hugs this motherless girl, Ashley, after the great loss of her mother in the September 11 holocaust of the World Trade Center. His compassion and sorrow for her loss is evident. It changed both of them. A heart that is tender and merciful is a heart that has been touched by Christ’s love and compassion and one in which should make all of us seek to be tender comforters as well. We can say many things as “hearers” but Christ wants us to be “doers” of the Word and that means opening ourselves up to the ridicule of men as President Bush has here by showing compassion and emotion, not caring about our own selves but by “thinking more highly” and “placing others” above ourselves for their good. This little girl’s life changed on September 11, as did the life of her father and her family. May it be that we as His daughters would shine in such a way in our compassion on others that they and the world might see a heart filled with tender mercies and kind compassion.”Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sadness of the countenance the heart is made better.” Ec 7:3
